we were at a party with friends and we had to tell about our adventure we are now heading to. they were all thrilled with the idea to start a new life in italy. but these people were not the common iowan's, they were all democrats, what helps a lot to keep a conversation going and they were all somehow connected to europa. it is nice to talk to people who think usa is not the most wonderful place on earth, and i told about this blog, and how silly i feel to write with my bad english, but they thought it is cute to read my accent. i hope the reader here have a similar feeling to all the mistakes i am making, SORRY about this !!

we do have the contratto preliminare now printed out and send them back- via e-mail, and get than later the originals in the snail-mail. the beginning of a long interesting bureaucratic way we just stepped on.
we did buy a christmas tree the 3. last of the good smelling balsam fur. my friend Hein has a christmas tree farm, and there a christmas tree will never get shaped- it has to grow to the right form, so they are mostly very wide at the bottom and have all the buds on the end of the branches. these here look like plastic, and every branch is chipped off. will see how we celebrate next weihnachten.
